Shaykh Abi Ar-Rabee’ ‘Arafaat bin Hasan Al Muhamadi posted on his site:

In Taareekh Baghdaad (12/16), Al-Khateeb recorded with a chain of narration to Kharrazaad Al-‘Aabid who said:

I was with Ar-Rasheed and Abu Mu’aawiyyah Adh-Dhareer entered with a man who appeared to be from Quraysh… so he reported Hadeeth until Abu Mu’aawiyyah narrated the Hadeeth of Al-A’mash from Abi Saaleh from Abi Hurayrah:

“Indeed Moosa met Aadam” and he said “You are Aadam who removed us from Heaven…” and he mentioned the Hadeeth.

The Qurashi said: “Where did Aadam meet Moosa?!”

Ar-Rasheed became angry and said: The sword, heretic, by Allaah, he reviles the Hadeeth of the Messenger of Allaah – salallaahua alaihiĀ  wa salam-.

Shaykh Rabee’ bin Haadee Al Madkhalee said in his explanation of the ‘Aqeedatus Salaf As-haabul Hadeeth (353-354):

The lesson: is that he became severely angry for (in support of) the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allaah -salallaahu alaihi wa salam – and gave importance to killing the one who rejects this Hadeeth…

And he saw that this is from honoring the Messenger of Allaah – Salallaahu alaihi wa salam – when he’s (salallaah u alaihi wa salam) denied.

The first time I came across this story, I cried. By Allaah, the One whom there is nothing worthy of worship but He, we along with our youth, who becomes angry nowadays for the sake of the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allaah – Salallaahu alihi wa salam – with this kind of anger?!
