Gold roundels for verse ending, large gold roundel marking ahzaab | Minor staining on some pages, overall great condition |The script and format of this manuscript is common in Andalus and North Africa from the 12th to 14th centuries. |

Incipit: حِشَة وَأَنْتُمْ تُبْصِرُونَ أَئِنَّكُمْ لَتَأْتُونَ الرِّجَالَ شَهْوَةً ;

Explicit: وَتَرَى الْجِبَالَ تَحْسَبُهَا جَامِدَةً وَهِيَ تَمُرُّ مَرَّ السَّحَابِ صُنْعَ اللَّهِ الَّذِي أَتْقَنَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ [Surat an-Naml, part of verse 54 to part of 88]

Folios of Maghribi/Andalusian Qur’ans from the 12th to 14th centuries have been sold in auctions from $2,000 to $15,000 or more. For example, a Maghribi/Andalusian folio sold in Sotheby’s (The Stuart Cary Welch Collection, Part 1, April 6,2011- Lot 8) for $, 4,496. A similar Andalusian/Maghribi bifolium from the 13th to 14th centuries is on sale in the Barakat Collection for $21,600. A very similar 13th century Maghribi/Andalusian Juz of 37 folios sold at Sotheby’s (Arts of the Islamic World, April 18, 2007 – Lot 5) for $ 16,881.
