Biography: He was a scholar of Hadeeth from Zaydan in Kufah, Iraq. (Al-I’laam 2/259, Kashf adh-Dhanoon 2/1699). Ibn Hajar, Al-‘Ayni, Mula ‘Ali Al Qari, and Al-Qastalaani cited him in their explanations of Al-Bukhaari (Dar al Nawadir Print of the book).
