Provenance: There’s a dated ownership note (1/1/1993) from Mawlawi ‘Ateequllah Ahmediyaar from Gerdai Ghows in the Muhmandara district of Nangarhar province of Afghanistan who became a teacher in Darul ‘Ulum Shamsiyyah for Ta’leem al Qur’aan in Pir Sabaq, Nowshera in the Peshawar provice of Pakistan.

Research Notes: There is some confusion about the date written in the colophon on folio 218, due to the wearing out of the ink- It appears to be 112__ and right after it’s written خمسة وعشرين, but it may be 1145 according to a previous owner.| The origin is most likely the Indian Subcontinent based on the type of paper, script in glosses, and ownership history
