Description: 23 lines/page | European (Italian) laid paper with Tre Lune watermark. | Water damage on paper, but still readable. | The manuscript is probably 18th or 19th century, the type of paper was produced between the 16th and 19 century. Al-Buhuti died 1051H, so most likely this manuscript was written in the 1700s or 1800s. There are no colophons or any other indicators of age. | Catchwords (bottom left on verso) |

Incipit & Explicit: the first bifolio is number 204, then the remaining folios are missing until 221. The remainder of the manuscript is from folios 221 to 360 totaling 141 folios. Starting from just before Baab “Al-Hadhanah” (باب الحضانة) and ending at “Bab Al-Iqraar bil Mujmal (باب الإقرار بالمجمل) (about half of this chapter) nearing the end of the full text.

Research Notes: A manuscript of this book in the handwriting of Al-Buhooti is currently in the Ministry of Justice in Saudi Arabia after being purchased from the son of Shaykh Saalih as-Saalim of Haa’il. There are variations in the text of this manuscript to the published edition. More research is required.
