The Questioner asks:

Ahsan Allaahu Ilaykum, some say that refuting the people of desires and innovations is a waste of time, and that it does not benefit the layman. Is this correct?

Shaykh Saaleh Al Fawzaan replies:

It’s a waste of this person. The one who said this is the one who wastes. As for the clarifying the Truth, then this is refuting to return one to the Truth and what is correct and uniting the Ummah upon the Truth and what is correct. Yes.
